NOTICE TO PUBLIC Request for Comments Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal Pursuant to CFR 49 Part 26, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has developed a proposed Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal in its Federal-aid Transportation Programs. UDOT has established a 45 day comment period. Comments must be in writing and must be received no later than August 27, 2004. Proposed DBE goals have been established for the year 2005 which narrowly tailors the DBE goals to the local market. The goal setting procedures and calculations are a part of the proposed DBE Program information. The proposed DBE goal for Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funded projects is: 8.8%. The Overall DBE goal is 8.8%. The anticipated race conscious DBE goal is 4.9%. The anticipated race neutral portion of the DBE goal is 3.9% The proposed DBE goal for Federal Transit Authority (FTA) funded expenditures is 0.0%. It is anticipated that FTA funded expenditures will not exceed the threshold of $250,000. The proposed DBE goal for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funded projects is 0.0%.
