Lucile Belliston

Lucile C. Belliston, age 81, passed away July 8, 2002. She was born Feb 6, 1921, in Logan, Utah, to Lars Samuel and Alvaretta Leora Jorgensen Christensen. She married Duane Belliston on July 13, 1944, in Norfolk, Virginia. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

She was a member of the LDS Church, where she was active as organist for 18 years, Relief Society President, State Scouting leader, Homemaking leader, temple worker. She was a member of the DUP.

She is survived by her husband, Duane; children, Layne (Thomas) Livingston of Monticello, Kaye Nye of Syracuse, Dale (Nancy) Belliston of Farr West, Craig (Jennifer) Belliston of Lindon, Carol (Paul) Jex of Glendora, California; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Hal Christensen of Fairfax, Virginia.

Funeral services were held July 15, 2002, in Ogden. Interment was in Hyde Park Cemetery.


Caroline Naomi Ellison

ROY • Caroline Naomi Topham Belliston Ellison, 90, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Peach Tree Assisted Living in Roy, Utah.

She was born April 8, 1912 in Santaquin, Utah to John and Ellen L. Robbins Topham. She married Ronald Oscar Belliston on July 3, 1931 in the Manti Temple, he preceded her in death on May 22, 1966. She married Donell Ellison on September 23, 1973, he preceded her in death in May of 1982.

She served faithfully in the LDS church in various capacities, including Relief Society Presidencies, Young Women Presidencies, and in musical and drama capacities. She and her late husband, Don, served a mission in The Oakland California Mission and in the LDS church vault in Little Cottonwood Canyon. She was also a member of the DUP.

Her hobbies included traveling, writing skits and poems, quilting and gardening. She also enjoyed dancing and she played several instruments, including the harmonica which she played in a harmonica band.

Surviving are her children, Spencer (Joan) Belliston, Murray; Iris (Dennis) Rosier, Kaysville; Carol (Weldon) Smith, Roy; Joy (Michael) Harris, Roy; Barbara (Paul) Watt, Layton; Burt (Susan) Belliston, Payson; Ellen (Terel) Grimley, No. Ogden; 42 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five stepchildren and their families.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, three brothers and four sisters, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the Murray 1st and 12th Ward Chapel, 365 E. Vine Street in Murray. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., and on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church in Murray.

Interment, Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi on Saturday at approximately 3:30 p.m.
