  • Nephi Council gives conditional approval for new subdivision

Nephi City Planning Commission recommended approval of the final plat for Hunters Meadow Subdivision Plat B and for Lynnwood Subdivision Plat C.

"Tonight, we could give conditional final approval to the Hunters Meadow Plat B," said Mayor Chad Brough, prior to the vote, "with the condition being that the city staff verify compliance with city ordinances."

At council meeting the first week of July, council members decided they had questions about the Hunters Meadow proposal which needed answers prior to giving the final approval. They tabled giving preliminary approval to the project and requested that the developer attend the next council work session to discuss plans.

The work meeting discussion was held and the developer complied with council requests.

Council members agreed to give conditional final approval to the Plat B proposal for Hunters Meadow and to Lynnwood Subdivision Plat C.

"We will not sign the plats until all requirements have been met," said Brough.

Lynnwood Subdivision Plat C also received conditional final approval with the same condition&emdash;that the city staff verify compliance with city ordinances&emdash;as the Hunter Meadow Plat B.
