A SPECIAL THANKS TO NEPHI CITY. On behalf of the Good Sam
club members, The Red Cliff Chiefs (Nephi chapter) wishes
to thank the City Council, The Chamber of Commerce, the
local Merchants and the entire city of Nephi for their
support and help to ensure the success of the Utah State
Samboree Convention held at the Juab County Fairgrounds
this year. The accommodations and use of the fairgrounds
were excellent for the large number of motor homes,
trailers and campers that gathered here. There were
approximately 375 rigs parked here. More than we had
originally planned for, but thanks to you, the
adjustments were made and everyone was well taken care of
As well as the members from Utah, we also welcomed
members from California, New Mexico, Texas, Idaho,
Colorado and others. They too, were impressed with the
hospitality and accommodation offered by our community.
We especially want to thank those businesses and
individuals who donated special gifts and discounts to
our Good Sam members. They were given as drawings and
door prizes. Everyone was really excited and surprised
about the support you gave to our Utah State Samboree.
Many of our members said that if or when they come our
way they will probably stop by to say hello, have a good
meal, play a round of golf, and visit our city again.
Most of our members said they would love to come again
next year. It really was a big success. Throughout the
year there are several outings and tag-a-longs that we
try to participate in . We enjoy traveling in a group and
enjoy all the interesting and fun places we visit. We
also participate in community work, such as clean some of
our local highways. We have a great time with our Nephi
Good Sam chapter and are very proud of them. We would
like to extend our welcome to anyone who likes to go
RVing and participate in a group of fun loving people. We
have a lot of friendship to offer and would like to have
yours. If you would like to come join us, contact one of

RESOLUTION NO. 6-5-01 A resolution amending Nephi City
utility policies with respect to disconnections,
guarantee deposits, and appeal process, and replacing
Resolution 9-18-84. Be it resolved by the Nephi City
Council as follows: 1. A guarantee deposit for electric,
gas, and water service will be paid at the time a utility
account is established. The amount of the deposit is
$150.00 for electric service, $10.00 for water service
($20.00 if the water service is to a commercial account).
Deposits from home owners may be refunded after six
consecutive months of prompt payment (payment of each
bill by the 30' day of the month in which payment is
due). 2. All accounts are due on the 12th of the month
following billing. Accounts not paid by the 12th will
receive a delinquent notice requiring payment of the
amount due by the 30' of the same month. This notice will
state the amount due and will state that if this amount
is not paid by the 30th, action will be taken to
discontinue utility-service to that account. A late
payment penalty of $10.00 and 18% interest will be
applied after the 30th. 3. All accounts not paid by the
30th will promptly be sent a disconnect notice giving the
date disconnection will occur if the amount required is
not paid. Disconnection will take place within 10 days of
notification. After notification takes place,
disconnection can be avoided by paying the full amount
due plus 25% of any existing arrears. 4. After an account
is disconnected, service will not be restored until: a. A
$25.00 re-connect fee is paid ($35.00 if re-connection is
requested outside of normal City business hours). b. A
new guarantee deposit is paid if one is currently not in
place. c. The full amount for all utility service up to
and including the day of shut-off is paid. 5. An appeal
board consisting of one elected official and one City
administrative employee will be available to hear the
following types of appeals: a. Hardship appeals from
accounts having a minimum of 12 consecutive months of
prompt payment history (payment of each bill by the 30th
day of the month in which payment is due). b. Appeals
stemming from alleged errors in meter reading or billing
procedure. 6. Every customer has the right to an
administrative hearing before the City Council if
requested within 72 hours of notification that
disconnection will take place. 7. If, as a result of an
appeal, additional time for payment is granted a written
agreement will be signed establishing amounts and dates
of payment. 8. In times of extreme cold weather or other
hardship, a limiter may be installed as an alternative to
disconnection, at the discretion of Nephi City. 9. This
resolution becomes effective for all bills and
statements, including arrears, which become due on or
after September 12, 200 1. Passed and Approved this 5th
