- Holliday man died near Cherry Creek in West Juab County

Bruce Kirkpatrick, 65, Holliday, died from a medical problem near Cherry Creek, in West Juab County.
On Saturday, May 8, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Juab County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a 65-year old male possibly having a heart attack.
Cherry Creek is a popular recreation site in West Juab County.
“The 911 call showed that the call was coming from a mountain in the Cherry Creek area of Juab County, said Deputy Brent Pulver, Juab County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and the West Juab County Emergency Medical Service were dispatched from Eureka.
Pulver said that Air Med was also dispatched but was later canceled.
“EMS arrived and verified that Mr. Kirkpatrick of Holliday was deceased,” said Pulver. “Juab County Deputies responded to the scene and recovered Mr. Kirkpatrick from the mountain top.”
According to witness statement and the investigation, Kirkpatrick died from a suspected medical problem, said Pulver.
Those heading to Cherry Creek need to go first to Jericho Junction in the Little Sahara Sand Dunes. From the railroad track located there, they will travel approximately 14 miles to Cherry Creek area, the scene of an annual motorcycle race. |
