  • Circus coming to town on Friday

Everyone is invited to come down circus morning (May 26, 9:00 a.m.) and watch the circus arrive, it's free, educational and lots of fun. Come back for the circus performance with the whole family and enjoy a camel ride, pony ride or elephant ride. Performances are May 26 at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Juab County Fairgrounds.

When Obert Miller founded the circus in 1937 Hoover was President, few homes had television and VCR, DVD and the World Wide Web were yet to come. When his son OR Miller inherited the circus Carson and Barnes was the largest traveling Big Top in America. Today, 70 years on, Obert's granddaughter Barbara and his great granddaughters Kristin and Traci firmly hold the reins of this great American tradition.

The circus has maintained its G-rated affordable family entertainment. The elephants still assist in putting up the Big Top, the Ringmaster still runs the performance, and the audience still applauds, laughs and scolds the Ringmaster when the clowns make fun of him. There is non-stop action with the Flying Fernandez Trapeze act featuring the during triple somersault. Silence falls in the Big Top when the seven man high pyramid walks the High Wire in the roof of the tent. There is the spectacular Wheel of Destiny, jugglers, acrobats and motorcycles.

Then there are the animals: Enormous elephants, Prancing ponies, Stupendous stallions and cute canines.

Tickets can be purchased from the following and all profits go toward the libraries of Juab School District Elementary Schools.
