Lou Henriod
Lou Henriod, age 91, was born in Nephi, Utah, Feb. 18,
1911, to William J. and Edith Haynes Henriod. Lou passed
away May 20, 2002, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He loved art work, woodworking, fishing and hunting.
Lou eloped with Zola Blackham in January of 1935. Their
marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. He was a
painting contractor for many years. In 1954 he went to work
for the U.S. Post Office, retiring in 1978. After retiring
he and his wife served a two-year mission for the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Leeds, England. They
also traveled extensively to many countries.
He is survived by his wife, Zola Blackham Henriod;
son, Gale Bruce (Carrie) Henriod; 11 grandchildren; and 11
great-grandchildren; a sister, Clara Jack. He was preceded
in death by his parents; brother, Sheldon Henriod; grandson,
Michael Richard Baugh.
Graveside services were held May 24, 2002, in the
Moroni Cemetery.
