In a recent meeting, Donna Allred, senior class advisor,
reported to the Juab High School board on the status of
seniors, the number who will graduate in those ceremonies,
and the number attending the annual senior trek.
Eight of the seniors were still in the process of
completing independent study courses which are required for
graduation. Two more are in school but will not meet
graduation requirements.
Three students transferred to another school during
their senior year.
"Five students, who were members of this class, left
school without graduating," said Allred.

early, she said. Two of those students completed
requirements by the end of their junior year, three more
students completed requirements by the end of the second
quarter, and three more completed requirements after the
third quarter.
All potential graduates have completed competencies in
reading and governance. Five students still must meet the
competencies in math and one student needs to meet the
writing assessment competency.
"No one is being issued a certificate of completion
rather than a diploma this year," said Allred.
Scholarships will be awarded at graduation ceremonies,
said Allred. Four students will receive Utah State
University scholarship offers, one will receive a Brigham
Young University scholarship offer, eight students will
receive offers from Dixie, two will receive offers from
Weber State, 12 from Utah Valley State College, one from BYU
Idaho, two from the University of Utah, three from
Westminster, one from Southern Utah University, seven from
Snow College, and three from the College of Eastern
Utah.
"We have more students planning to attend the senior
trek this year than ever before," said Allred. "Seventy-five
are planning to attend."
She seniors will leave for California on the evening
of graduation. Students will participate in graduation
ceremonies beginning at 6:30 p.m. And will then load buses
and leave on the trip at 9:30 p.m.
