OLYMPIC BANNERS - Nephi City has approximately 65 Olympic banners that were displayed on the light poles along Main Street in Nephi during the Winter Olympics. Nephi City desires to make these flags available for the public to purchase and at the same time raise some money with which to help purchase banners to use on Main Street before and during the annual Ute Stampede celebration. If you are interested in purchasing one of the Olympic banners for $20.00, please contact city hall in person, by telephone, or by mail, and have your name placed on the list. Even if you have previously requested that your name be placed on such a list, you need to make a new contact with city hall to express your continued interest. Please make this contact by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 10, 2002. The names that are placed on this list will then be drawn randomly to determine the order in which you will be scheduled to select your banner and pay for it. This is necessary because some of the banners are in better condition than others. There will be a limit of one banner per person, unless fewer people express interest than there are banners. Once the names are drawn, you will be given a day and a time to select your banner and pay for it. If you desire to make an additional contribution toward the purchase of the Ute Stampede banners, that will be appreciated.
