Ann Bailey
Ann Oleta Allred Bailey died Apr. 28, 2002, at the
home of her daughter in Provo, Utah. She was born June
2, 1911, in Fountain Green, Utah, to Malinda Carter and Ole
A. Allred. On Apr. 8, 1936, she married Ivan L. Bailey
in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Oleta was employed by First Security Bank for 15
years. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, she enjoyed years of service in the ward
choir and ward and stake Young Women's callings. She
enjoyed cooking (especially rolls and dumpling soup), making
quilts and afghans, tailoring, gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, a
son, grandson, two sisters and a brother. She is
survived by two daughters and a son: Joyce (Vic) Oldroyd of
Provo, Linda Jean (J. Dee) Beck of Orem, James I. (Paula)
Bailey of Price; 15 grandchildren; and 22
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 3, 2002, in the
Fountain Green Second Ward Chapel. Interment in the
Fountain Green Cemetery.
