Ruth Schultz
Ruth Schultz passed away April 25, 2002 in her home in
Yucaipa, California, after a fight with cancer. She was 82
years old.
Ruth live with her late husband Fred in Mona for seven
years. She enjoyed cooking and bowling and was a member of
many leagues.
She is survived by her children Nancy May of Nephi;
Sharon Michael of Mona; Dave Schultz, Jerry McNamara and
Robert McNamara, all of Yucaipa, California; Kathy
Richardson of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; and Bob Schultz of
Jasper, Georgia.
Services will be held April 30, 2002 in Yucaipa,
California.
Renee Pexton Bench
Renee Pexton Bench passed away quietly April 28, 2002 in
her home after a brief struggle with cancer.
Renee was born February 23, 1923 in Nephi to Jude N.C.
and Alda E. Pyper Pexton. She was a graduate of Juab High
School and Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing. She
married her childhood sweetheart, Delbert A. Bench April 27,
1943 in Salt Lake City and was later solemnized in the Manti
LDS Temple. Renee was a faithful lifelong member of the LDS
Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Maryann Bench;
three children and their spouses, Marian (Klaus) Mudrow, J.
Marc (Sherine) Bench, and John (Gina) Bench; 15
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two on the way;
many loving cousins and friends both in the U.S. and abroad.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son Dannis,
two sisters and three brothers.
She leaves a legacy of love, service and many
adventures. Special thanks to Carol and the hospice
team.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2002 at
11:00 a.m. at the Wilford Stake Center, 1765 East 3080
South, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Wednesday evening,
from 6-8 p.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300
East, and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the
services. Interment and graveside dedication at the Nephi
City Cemetery, 400 East 300 North, Nephi at approximately
3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please take your loved ones
out to dinner and make some wonderful memories.
