Its a hard lesson to learn, but those who drink and
drive (in this case a legal soft drink) should remember that
spills may cause accidents.
Six people received injuries in an accident at 8:40
p.m., Thursday, 11 miles south of Nephi on Interstate-15
when the southbound vehicle rolled.
The vehicle was being driven by Bobby Jo Olson, 16,
Santaquin who spilled her drink, bent to retrieve it, and
lost control of her vehicle as a result.
"No one died as a result of the accident," said Utah
Highway Patrol Sgt. Doug Rawlinson. He said most of the
passengers and the driver received cuts and other wounds but
were not seriously injured.
"The vehicle was registered to Olson Greenhouse," said
Rawlinson.
Madison Lloyd, 2, was ejected from the vehicle as it
rolled and was transported to Central Valley Medical Center
by East Juab Ambulance. She was the only member of the group
to be listed in serious condition.
Also injured in the accident were the driver, Bobby Jo
Olson; Brian Lloyd, 25; Rachel Lloyd, 23; Tyler Lloyd, 3;
and Chelsea Lloyd, 6.
