Fred T. Wilcox
Fred T. Wilcox, age 75, of Spring City, Utah, passed
away May 25, 2000 in Sanpete Valley Hospital. Fred was
born July 16, 1924, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to P.A. and
Daisy Beal Wilcox.
He graduated from North Sanpete High School. He
served in the U.S. Army, Infantry Division, Normandy
Campaign and Northern France Campaign in World War II,
where he received the Purple Heart. He married Althea
Brothersen of Moroni and they had five children. They
were later divorced. He loved the mountains, hunting,
fishing, reading newspapers, gardening, rodeos, watching
TV, and yard sales.
He is survived by his children, Larry Wilcox,
Connie Wilcox, Shauna (Richard) Brotherson, and Bobbe
(Leon) Monk, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Sherri (Gary)
Jarrett of Nephi; 21 grandchildren; and 20
great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Lamb of Wales, Jerry
Peterson of Kearns, and Gayleen (Harry) Madsen of Mt.
Pleasant; brother, Jim of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded
in death by father, mother, sister, Kay, and brothers
Burt and John.
Funeral services were held May 30, 2000, at
Ursenbach Funeral Home. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant
City Cemetery.
