Elna May

Elna Nielsen May died May 13, 2000, at her home in Nephi, Utah. She was born April 13, 1922, in Provo, Utah.

She is survived by her husband, Ira LaVor May; and children, Karma Harrison of Schaumberg, Illinois, Marlys Bernard of Desert Hot Springs, California, Janet Sutorius of Nephi, Ladell May of Kansas City, Missouri, and Daniel May of Renton, Washington; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Glen Nielson, and a sister Nina Schumann, both of Lehi. She was preceded in death by two children, Karen Joan Fletcher and Aaron May.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2000, in the Nephi North Stake Center, 1125 North 400 East. Friends may call Friday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Vine Bluff Cemetery Nephi, Utah.


Benjamin Campbell

Benjamin Melvin Campbell, III, age 43 of Nephi, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2000 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born Mar. 19, 1957, in San Diego, California. He married Mona L. Escobar in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He enjoyed all outdoor recreation. He had a career building planes for Northrop Aircraft in Los Angeles for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Mona, of Nephi; three daughters, Tina (Art) Villanueva of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, Jennifer (Brett) Kelson, and Heidi Campbell, all of Nephi; two grandchildren; his parents, Jim and Nellie Hammond of Nephi; a brother, Jimmy Hammond, serving in the U.S. Navy in Japan; and a sister, Debra Dalton, of San Pedro, California.

Memorial services with family and friends were held on Saturday, May 13, 2000.
