Ramon H. Mangelson
1927-2008

Ramon Herman Mangelson, 80, passed early the morning of April 6, 2008 of natural causes.
Ramon was born in the shadow of Mt. Nebo in Nephi, Utah, on September 16, 1927 to Herman Mangelson and Mildred Peterson Mangelson. Soon after graduation from high school, Ramon moved to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Utah, where he graduated with a degree in Business. Ramon served briefly in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Forest Service in Yellowstone N.P as a ranger. Ramon experienced the early years of skiing at Alta, taking many cherished photographs of that special time in Utah's history. Ramon's strong interest in photography inspired him to work as a photographer and to establish Replicolor Laboratories in 1955. Replicolor filled a burgeoning need in Utah for a professional photographic provider. As Replicolor grew from a one dark room operation to eventually encompass two adjacent buildings on Edison St. in downtown Salt Lake City, so did Ramon's impact on the business, advertising and artistic communities throughout the state of Utah.
Ramon married Loabelle Black of Delta, Utah, on June 19,1959 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Ramon and Loabelle had three children: Scott Ramon Mangelson, 47; Kelie Ann Harris, 45; and Cory H. Mangelson, 38, all of Salt Lake City. Building a uniquely designed house on Tomahawk Drive in 1976, which included a skylight dome to assist in the growth of a planter and a nearly twenty foot tree, was a very proud milestone in Ramon's life.
Ramon was a member of The Alta Club for many years and enjoyed the time spent there in good conversation, drink and food with other members and employees. Ramon had an affinity for Harley Davidson motorcycles, owning several in his lifetime. The latest, of which, gave his sons great consternation upon hearing of his escapades on the open road. He was a member the LDS church. In his last five years, Ramon was blessed to find a loving friend and companion in Greta Hatsis. The two were a fixture at many local restaurants during their special time together. Survived by his three aforementioned children; daughter-in-law, Charlene Mangelson; three granddaughters Zenobia Brontley; Mindy Mangelson and Bailly Ray Mangelson. Preceded in death by parents and brother L.D. Mangelson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment and graveside service will be in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah, at 2 p.m. Funeral directors, Anderson Funeral Home Nephi.

 Kyle Jensen
1988-2008

Kyle Thomas Jensen was born in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, on March 2, 1988 and returned to his Heavenly Father on April 1, 2008 where he is united with his mother Jennifer H. Jensen and older brother Gerry T. Jensen. Kyle is survived by his father Gerry Thomas Jensen, his brother Camron Thomas Jensen of Salt Lake City, Utah; and his grandparents Ren and Doreen Johnson of Levan, Utah.
Kyle’s grandparents cared for him through his struggles with his illness, and were with him when he passed away. Kyle loved playing video games, watching movies and hanging out with his friends.
His generosity of spirit and the kindness that he showed to people truly set him apart from others and benefited all those around him.
Despite his illness and limitations, Kyle never complained but showed immense bravery and incredible gratefulness for everything he had; worrying more about others than he did about himself.
Kyle will live on in the memories of all who knew and loved him.
