The Miss Nephi Pageant was held April 8. Nyle Robinson and Miss Nephi 2005 Jade Ellison served as Co-Master of Ceremonies. The theme was "Opening Night."

Katelyn Peterson, daughter of Rhett and Ann Peterson, was crowned Miss Nephi. She performed a classical piano piece by Bach. She plans to pursue a career in Forensic Science. 1st Attendant Stephanie Farr, daughter of Mark and Heidi-jo Farr, performed "Reverie" on the piano. She plans to pursue a career in Nursing. 2nd Attendant Melissa Wong, daughter of Skip and Danise Worwood and Raymond Wong, performed a jazz dance. She plans to become a Teacher.

Stephanie Farr received the Community Involvement Award. She has been a member of the JHS Drill Team for three years and participated in the mini drill camps. She plays softball and is an assistant coach for girls Little League. She also did career experience in nursing by volunteering at the care center.

Other awards included: Most Photogenic, Melissa Wong; Best Personality, Brittney Bright.

The pageant included special number by Nebo Dance Academy, Tonya's Tumblers, JHS Cheerleaders, and Kinley Olpin. Last year's Royalty performed as well. Jade Ellison performed a ballroom dance with her partner, and Danielle Barr performed a piano solo.

Nephi City Council member Robert Painter presented an award to Brenda McPherson for Outstanding Service to the Miss Nephi Committee.

Beverlee Castellano was honored as the 2006 Woman of Achievement.
