Marva Shepherd
1925-2005
Marva Hatch Shepherd, age 79, passed away March 29,
2005 in Levan, Utah. She was born May 13, 1925 in Scipio,
Utah, to Marvin Muir and Freda Henrietta Olsen Hatch. She
married Calvin Kent Shepherd June 16, 1945 in Scipio. Their
marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. They
have been married for 60 years.
Marva enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening and
cooking. She was active in the LDS church and thoroughly
loved being a visiting teacher. She gave countless hours of
services to others.
She is survived by her husband, C. Kent Shepherd of
Levan; children, Shauna (Paul) Harmon of Nephi, Janet
(David) Carter of Levan, David (Linda) Shepherd of Levan,
Louise (Bart) Stephenson of Alcova, Wyoming; 21
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Miriam
Tuttle, Gladys Stone, Esther Memmott and Beth Warner. She
was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ethel Robins
and Donna Nielson; brother, Lloyd Hatch.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, 2005 in
the Levan LDS Chapel. Interment in the Levan Cemetery.
