Gwendolyn Russell
Gwendolyn Russell, age 55, passed away Mar. 29, 2001, in
Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born June 6, 1945, in Delta, Utah, to Malvola
Bennett and Paul Edmund Russell.
She graduated from Juab High School and
Stevens-Henager College. She was an active member of The
Church of Jesus Christ and served in many callings,
including a Stake mission. She was endowed in the Salt Lake
LDS Temple Mar. 27, 1970. She worked and retired from Hill
Air Force Base.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Paul Russell,
of West Valley City; her sisters, Sharon (Bruce) Jensen, and
Debra (Steven) Stowell of Sandy. She was preceded in death
by her father and mother.
Funeral services were held Apr. 2, 2001, in the Union
Fort 5th Ward in Midvale, Utah. The Burial in Vine Bluff
Cemetery Nephi, Utah.
John Gordon Steele, M.D
John Gordon Steele, M.D. passed away Apr. 1, 2001. He was
born to Jesse Fielding and Winnie Lou Gordon in Saint Paul,
Nebraska, Apr. 27, 1910.
He graduated from Tooele High School, University of
Utah, and University of Colorado Medical School. He served
in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in WWII. After his discharge
he set up practice in Nephi, Utah, and was affiliated with
Juab County Hospital and Payson City Hospital. He had a busy
practice from 1946 to 1978, when he retired and moved to
Chandler, Arizona.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma; daughters,
Michelle, Patricia, and Ann; sons, John and Robert. A son,
Richard, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held in Nephi at a later
date.
