Nancy Louise Parkin Memmott
1943~2018
Our dear mother, grandmother, and sister Nancy Louise Parkin Memmott passed away peacefully March 10, 2018, surrounded by her family. Nancy was born March 24, 1943, to George Harold and Sarah Louise Parkin in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the oldest of 5 children. She grew up in Nephi and graduated from Juab High School in 1961. On June 12, 1964, she married her high school sweetheart Ramon J. Memmott in the Manti Temple. They have been married for 54 years. Nancy worked at First Security Bank and Wells Fargo for many years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she loved serving in the primary. Nancy was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed being the secretary of the Fort Wall Camp and attending the meetings with her sister Diana. Nancy’s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She would often be heard saying, “Why am I so lucky? I have the cutest grandkids around.” Nancy is survived by her husband Ramon J. Memmott, children Jana (Steve) Wendel, Michael (Shanna) Memmott, Mark (Shelly) Memmott, Shane (Lynn) Memmott, Travis (Kelly) Memmott and foster son Jeff (Linda) Peterman, her siblings Diana, Steven, Hanalee, and Jim, 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, with one great-grandchild on the way. She was proceeded in death by her parents, one brother, and daughter-in-law Billie Jo. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 14th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 15th, at the Nephi Stake Center at 11 a.m. Another viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Vine Bluff Cemetery. |
