- 2010 Juab High Sterling Scholars to compete next week

JHS has fifteen candidates heading to the Deseret News/KSL Television Sterling Scholars of Central Utah. The students were selected in the Fall on the basis of Scholarship, leadership, citizenship, and character, as demonstrated through activity and interest in the category to which the student applied. Since their nomination, students have compiled a portfolio of their achievements and involvement in school and the community.
On March 9, the student will take part in Judging Day in Richfield. Porfolios will be judged and interviews will take place.
On March 16, the Thirty-Eighth Annual Sterling Scholars Awards Program will take place at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. The program begins at 7:00 p.m.
Schools include: Juab, Millard, Delta, North Sanpete, Piute, Richfield, North Sevier, South Sevier, Cedar Ridge, Manti, Gunnison Valley, Tintic, and Wayne.
Juab students are: Tyler Whitlock, son of Dale and Sue Whitlock; Josh Richens, son of Kent and Darlene Richens; Kellie-jo Farr, daughter of Mark and Heidi Farr; Kelly Reber, daughter of Doug and Sandy Reber; Tanner Linton, son of Troy and Monica Linton; Kevin Johnstun, son of Bryce and Larita Johnstun; Sean Gibson, son Allan and Mariann Gibson; JaBoe Garrett, daughter of Tyson and Jamie Garrett; Kara Lee Jenson, daughter of Brian and Tanna Jenson; Kelsie Jones, daughter of David and Maurie Jones; Karissa Carter, daughter of Steve and Judith Carter, Ariel Peterson, daughter of Michael and Rosalie Peterson; Nicole Brough, daughter of Chad and Lisa Brough; Colt Oliver, son of David and Raquel Oliver, and Landon Hitchcock, son of Craig and Merry Hitchcock.
