Kay Rex Davis
1928-2008
Kay Rex Davis, age 79, passed away on March 23, 2008 in Nephi, Utah, in the presence of family members.
He was born September 15, 1928 in Provo, Utah, to Alfred Rex and Lois Larsen Davis. He married Geraldine Latimer December 20, 1952.
He grew up in Vineyard and lived most of his life in the Provo/Orem area. Kay served in the Korean War and retired from the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Geri Davis, of Nephi; six children, Michael (Anita) Davis of Nephi; Linda ( Jon) Christiansen of West Jordan; Debra Fitzgerald of Manti; James Davis of Eureka; Dan (Jan) Davis of Texas; Karen (Robert) Sundberg of California; a sister, Diane (Dutch) Baur of South Jordan; 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
Dorothy Cordova
1937-2008
Dorothy C. Cordova, age 71, passed away March 18, 2008 in Nephi, Utah.
She was born February 5, 1937 in Hinckley, Utah, to Dewey and Vera Tripp Carpenter. She married Jose Cordova August 14, 1971. She was a long-time resident of Nephi.
She is survived by her sister, Clara M. Carpenter Posey, of San Leandro CA, and sister-in-law, Julia J. Keller, of Hinckley UT; her nieces and nephews, Betty Verlene Williams of Utah, Kenneth D. Carpenter of Nebraska, Kathy Carpenter of Texas, Brent L. Carpenter of Nebraska, De’Ann Morrill of Colorado, Jean Byrd of Utah, Boyd Byrd of Idaho, Tony Byrd of Wyoming, Melvin Byrd of Utah, Clark Byrd of Utah, Mark Posey and Christine Patterson both of California, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose; sisters, Geniel Bowers and Norma Jackson; brother, Donald Carpenter.
A viewing was held from 1-2 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North Nephi.
