Enid B. Christensen
1916-2007
Enid Brough Christensen, 90, passed away March 18,
2007 in Nephi, Utah. She was born in 1916 in Nephi Utah, to
Ernest and Laura Giles Brough. Enid married Allen L.
Christensen, September 23, 1936 in the Manti Temple. They
were married for 68 years when he passed away January 29,
2005.
She worked for K.A. Dutson, Optometrist, in his Nephi
office for many years. Enid then went to work at the Juab
County Hospital as a Nurses Aid. She enjoyed being with
people and serving to their needs. It was her joy to help
others. Enid enjoyed her years in community service and
various local club organizations. She loved her church
callings and served with enthusiasm in the Primary, Young
Women's, and Relief Society.
Throughout their married life Allen and Enid lived in
San Diego and Auburn, California. Most of their life was
spent in Nephi and Murray, Utah. She enjoyed living in Levan
at the Victorian House and in Nephi at the Autumn Park
Living Center. A special thank you to the staff of Central
Valley Home Health and Hospice.
Survived by her son, Joseph G. Christensen and his wife,
Jolene; four grandchildren, Layne and (Shauna) Christensen,
Conley and (Michelle) Christensen, Lynnette Christensen,
Colette and (Tim) Stephan; and 10 great-grandchildren;
sisters, Madge Price, Laura Lee Ellertson, and Helen Brough.
Preceded in death by brothers, Rulon, Jack, and Arnold
Brough.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday,
March 22, 2007 in the Nephi First Ward, 222 South 100
East. Friends may call from 9.30-10:45 a.m. prior to
the services at the church. Interment will be in Vine Bluff
Cemetery, Nephi, under the direction of the Anderson Funeral
Home.
