STELLA A. GARRETT
1913~2007
Stella Anderson Garrett, my dear mother, grandmother,
sister, and friend passed away March 5, 2006, at the Latter
Day Assisted Living Center in Santaquin, Utah where she had
lived for the past year. She had many friends there. Special
thanks for the loving care they gave to her. She loved you
all.
Stella was born September 4, 1913 in Sigard, Utah to
Neils and Marie Bennedson Anderson. She married Loren (Nunk)
Garrett July 23, 1934 in Salina, Utah. He died December 16,
1993.
Stella was a very loving person always showing her
care and love to family and friends. She had a love for
antiques, displaying them very carefully in her home. She
made everyone feel welcome in her home. She was a 4-H
leader, member of the Lady Lions, serving as past president,
and was a member to the LDS Church. She was a wonderful
homemaker and cook. She left many handmade items for her
family to enjoy.
She is survived by her daughter, Jana (Kenny) Hudson;
daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Garrett) Steele; one brother, Max
Anderson; 7 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 6
great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her
husband; son, Neil Loren Garrett; 3 sisters, Norma Bigler,
Lucinda Crane, and Leona Barron.
Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. Friday, March
9, 2007 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 N, 100 W. Friends may
call one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment
will be in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
Peggy Claycomb
1945-2007
Peggy Irene Claycomb passed away unexpectedly on March
3, 2007 in Denver, Colorado. She was born January 27, 1945
in Cortez, Colorado, to Paul and Hazel Leonard. She married
Don Brandon December 1962. They together had four children.
They were later divorced.
Peggy was devoted to her family, friends and her
religion. She has a love of plants and flowers; she had an
obvious green thumb. She also had a great love for animals
of all kinds. She had everything from pot-belly pigs to
miniature donkeys. She was rarely seen without a cat or two
on her lap and a dog by her side. She will be greatly missed
by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Claycomb, of
Cortez, Colorado; 1 daughter, Rhonda (Dale) Everitt; 3 sons,
Robbie Brandon, Darrin Brandon, all of Nephi, Derek
(Kristine) Brandon of Payson; 6 grandchildren, Eschel,
Kurtis, Paul and Joni Everitt of Nephi, Keegan and Kody
Brandon of Payson. She was preceded in death by her father
and baby brother.
Memorial services will be held in Cortez,
Colorado.
Tracy Joy Nunley/Burgess
1978-2007
Tracy Joy Nunley/Burgess, was born Aug. 10, 1978
to Keith and Sandi Nunley of Manti, Utah. She died February,
26 2007 of natural causes. Tracy was a beautiful blonde
blue-eyed woman, who brought joy to her children, parents
and grandparents. She was a bright beautiful person who
excelled in everything she did, making A's throughout high
school and doing home work for many of her friends. She
liked keeping herself beautiful, attractive, well dressed,
being a social butterfly she loved to party with
friends.
Growing up she spent many hours of many days with
Grandpa Drew and Grandma Joy Merriam, camping, riding
four-wheelers and hunting. She was the apple of Grandpa
Drew's eye, he took her to school every day and now Grandpa
Drew and his dog BoJo (who Tracy named) will escort her to
heaven.
Tracy loved people, and had a soft spot for the down
trodden. She was a good and loyal friend. She loved her
family and her fiancé Ryan and spent many hours
playing cards and games with them. Tracy was a great aunt,
she loved her nieces and nephews and cousins and they loved
her back. Her very best friend was her only sister Sami Jo
they had a very special bond and could have been twins. But
the greatest loves of her life were her children Kage age 8
and Kevie age 6 Burgess.
She is survived by her children and their father Kevin
Burgess, parents, sister, grandmothers, nieces, nephews and
many uncles, aunts and cousins and fiance Ryan Booth.
We love you Tracy and will miss you very much and with
all our hearts. Give your grandpas a hug for us, but don't
let them spoil you to much. Funeral services were held
Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary
in Mt. Pleasant. Interment in the Manti City Cemetery.
Karl Clark Branin
1933-2007
Karl Clark Branin passed away on February 27, 2007 in
Nephi, Utah. He was welcomed home by his mother, father,
brothers, sisters, and granddaughter. Karl was born November
14, 1933 to Julia Clisty Keele and George Alfred Branin. He
grew up in Beaver, Utah, and later moved to Provo where he
met and married Carol Roundy. They were married May 8, 1954.
Karl later joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints, and in 1964 took his wife and family to the Manti
LDS Temple to be sealed for all Eternity.
Karl worked as a welder for many years, as a dairyman
on the Lazy Acres Dairy in Salem, and many other jobs. He
knew the value of work.
Karl served his country during the Korean War. He was
a High Priest, and served in many church callings, but his
favorite was the ten years he served in the Provo
Temple.
He will be missed by his wife, Carol; his six
children: Julianne Cundiff; Terry (Audrey) Branin, Debra
(Kevin) Gardner, David Branin, Klisti Branin, and Jill
(Darwin) Sidwell. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren,
and 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services were held on Monday, March
5, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Vine Bluff Cemetery,1200 North
400 East, Nephi, Utah. Interment will be in Vine Bluff
Cemetery with military honors.

Gerald W. Carter
1930-2007
Gerald Wallace Carter, loving brother, father,
grandfather, and great-grandfather, quietly passed away in
his Levan, Utah, home March 1, 2007. Gerald, known to his
friends and family as Jerry, was born on July 13, 1930 in
Levan to Gerald Holman and Zella Stephensen Carter.
Throughout his life-time, Jerry raised 11 children. He was
very proud of his children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren, and took every opportunity available to
brag on them. In his younger years he was an avid outdoors
man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising and riding horses.
He was quick on a horse and even quicker with his aim. Jerry
took great pride in his work. It didn't matter whether he
was welding, farming, or cattle ranching, he did it all with
honor and pride. He was a member of the operating engineers
for over 50 years. He remained active until his passing,
tinkering around the yard with his horse "Star."
Jerry also loved to travel and took the time to take
his family to the beautiful places of this country. He was
always dreaming about and planning for the next place he
wanted to visit.
Jerry is survived by his 11 children; Kent Carter,
Kevin Carter, Lexie Carter, Zeke Carter, Julia Gower, Ike
Harward, Lane Harward, Gary Isom, Jeri Dell Sandberg, Tammy
Bulloch, and Todd Isom. He is also survived by many
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held in Jerry's honor at the Levan
church at 12:00 noon Tuesday, March 6, 2007. Interment will
be in the Levan Cemetery.
Dad, we are all thankful that our lives were blessed
enough to have you as a father. We will miss your loving
adventurous spirit.
