Clark Molyneaux
Clark Lee Molyneaux, age 73, passed away February 26,
2005 at his home in Mona, Utah. He was born May 22, 1931 in
Mona to Vaughn Lee and Geneva Ester Garrett Molyneaux. He
married Cleo Beth Simmons November 10, 1951 in Mona. The
marriage was later solemnized November 10, 1999 in the Manti
LDS Temple.
He served in the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1954 in
the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Boxer. He worked in the
plumbing business and at Geneva Steel. He farmed in Mona all
of his life.
He is survived by his wife Cleo of Mona; children,
Debbie (Curt) Adams of Salem, Randy (Sarah) Molyneaux of
Delta, Jack (Cindy) Molyneaux of Spanish Fork, Ronda
(Gordon) Jarrett, Scott (Melanie) Molyneaux, and Jill
(Jason) Haveron all of Mona, Lesa (Chad) Cronquist of
Lindon; 22 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Gary and Max Molyneaux and one sister, Janice
Pritchett. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven
Molyneaux.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday,
March 2, 2005 in the Mona 1st Ward. Friends may call
Wednesday prior to the services from 10-11:45 a.m. Interment
will be in the Mona Cemetery.
Ray Greenhalgh
Samuel Ray Greenhalgh passed away peacefully on
February 27, 2005 due to natural causes. Ray was born on
October 5, 1915 in Nephi, Utah, to Joseph Hyrum and Adelade
Pearl Belliston Greenhalgh. He met Mildred and was married
on May 6, 1936 in the Manti LDS Temple where their marriage
was solemnized for time and all eternity.
He earned his degree in Animal Husbandry from Utah
State University and taught Agriculture as a high school
teacher until 1955, when he moved his family to Provo where
he was employed at US Steel. Ray retired in 1978.
Ray was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints. He served a mission with his wife in
South Dakota from 1978-1980 and also served as a temple
worker in the Provo Temple for 9 years.
Ray took great joy in telling "Tom Thumb and Lucy
Tooth" stories to his grandchildren to put them to sleep. He
enjoyed the barbecues in the backyard, watching BYU football
games.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred;
parents; four sisters and two brothers. He is survived by
four brothers, four children; David R. Greenhalgh, Paul A.
Greenhalgh, Jo Lene Greenhalgh-Baldwin, and Debbi Johnson;
17 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2,
2005 at 10:00 a.m. with a short viewing that day one hour
prior. Interment will be at Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi,
Utah.
Waldon Reed
James Waldon Reed, age 85, passed away February 24, 2005
in Nephi, Utah, of causes incident to age. He was born
September 6, 1919 in Nephi to James Mooney and Cleonice
Elizabeth Lunt Reed. He married Thelma Linton on October 8,
1943 in the Manti LDS Temple. She passed away May 7,
1990.
Waldon ranched and farmed all of his life and as a
youth traveled with his uncles herding cattle to Nine Mile
Canyon. He accompanied his grandfather, John Henry Lunt, as
they bought and sold cattle throughout the state and sent
them to the San Francisco stockyards. Waldon loved a good
saddle horse, enjoyed raising good quality cattle and good
crops. Baseball was also a love of his and he played on many
city leagues. He loved to fish and hunt. Waldon was a member
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his children, Gary Reed and Merrill
(Jan) Reed both of Nephi; 12 grandchildren and 6
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Jim
Reed.
Funeral services were held February 28, 2005 in the
Nephi Stake Center. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi,
Utah.
