Lucille Howell
Services for Lucille Howell to be held April 3rd in
Nephi
Lucille Bowles Howell, age 84, passed away March 27,
2004 in Orem, Utah.
She was born December 26, 1919 in Nephi, Utah, to
Alvin Roy and Lorene Pay Bowles. She Married Tharol Howell
November 10, 1939 in Provo, Utah.
She was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, her favorite calling was that of helping
in the nursery.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Shirley) Howell
of Orem, and Steve (Anne) Howell of Far West; two step-sons,
Richard (Marie) Howell of Mapleton, and Grant (Gay) Howell
of Helper; brothers, Don (Elthear) Bowles of Vernal, Dean
(Nedra) Bowles of Orange, California; sisters, Dorene (Vee)
Nordstrom of Nephi, Marjorie (Thomas) Gates of Yorba Linda,
California, LouAnn (Stan) Stewart of Aurora, Colorado; 20
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her husband, her parents and two brothers, Earl and
Jay; a great- granddaughter, Aspen Howell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,
April 3, 2004 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300
North. Friends and family may call from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
prior to services. Interment will be in the Nephi Vine Bluff
Cemetery
Lacey Cano
Services for Lacey Cano to be held April 3rd in Nephi
Lacey Diane Cano, age 19, passed away March 27, 2004
in Nephi, Utah.
She was born October 1, 1984 in Habor City,
California, to Mario Joe Cano and Holly M Johnson. Her
grandparents, Elden and Jean Johnson were her second set of
parents.
She is survived by her parents, Mario (Kathie) Cano,
and Holly M, Johnson; brother, Will Cano; grandparents,
Elden and Jean Johnson. She was preceded in death by her
Grandma Mercy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday,
April 3, 2004 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West.
Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the
Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at the church
one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the
Fountain Green Cemetery.
Marilyn Andrews
Services pending for Marilyn Andrews
Marilyn Miller Beckstead Andrews passed away January
18, 2004 at San Jose, California, from pneumonia after a
long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Marilyn was born August 20, 1922 in Riverton, Utah, to
Dr. Francis H. and Afton Tonks Beckstead. Her stepmother is
Mrs. Edith Beckstead. She attended high school in Provo and
graduated from Juab High School. For a short period she
attended Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing in Salt Lake
City.
She was married to Paul J. Andrews July 2, 1941 in
Nephi. They then moved to Los Angeles where their son,
Michael, was born in 1942. Living back in Nephi after WWII,
their daughter, Juliene Afton, was born. They later moved to
the Northwest and settled in Spokane, Washington. Their son,
Gregory, was born there in 1950.
She had been living with her husband for the last 30
years in Sunnyvale, California. She worked in accounting and
credit offices for many years, finally retiring in 1986.
Marilyn is survived by her three children; siblings,
Robert (Doris) Beckstead, Marriner (Jean) Beckstead, and
Betty (Arlo) Williams. She was preceded in death by her
first grandson, Brian Hill, and brother, George
Beckstead.
There will be no services at this time. Burial plans
are also pending.
Brian Hill
Graveside service to be held April 2nd in Nephi for Brian
Hill
Brian Ray Hill passed away November 9, 2003 at his
home in Mountain View, California. He suffered injuries from
a fall.
Brian was born February 4, 1968 in Big Spring, Texas,
to Gordon C. Hill and Juliene Afton Andrews Williams.
Although Brian had cerebral palsy from birth, he graduated
from Gunn High School in Palo Alto, California. He also
attended DeAnza College in Cupertino, California, and New
Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Brian had lived all of his life in California, most
recently in Mountain View. He worked at his parents'
business in Los Altos.
He was preceded in death by his father, "Bud" Hill,
who died and became missing during the Viet Nam War. His
mother and stepfather, Thomas E. Williams, survive him. His
siblings include sisters, Afton Williams and Kathy Williams
Berens, and brother, Keith Williams.
His mother's parents are Paul J. and recently deceased
Marilyn Beckstead Andrews of Nephi and Sunnyvale,
California. His great-grandmother is Mrs. Edith
Beckstead.
A service was previously held in Los Altos,
California, at Heritage Oak Ward Chapel. Interment and
graveside dedication will be Friday, April 2, 2004 at 11:00
a.m. at Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi. There will be a
reception following at the Beckstead home.
