Delbert Euray Allred

Delbert Euray Allred, age 91, of Fountain Green passed away Sunday, March 17, 2002, at the home of his daughter in Provo.

He was born April 17, 1910 in Fountain Green to Wiley Eugene and Naomi Otterstrom Allred. He married Madelyn Eldardo in the Manti Temple on March 27, 1940. They are the parents of five children: Celes (Barney) Erickson, Ellensburg, Washington; Naomi (Doug) Bennion, West Valley City; Phillip (Susan) Allred, Fountain Green; Jeannine (Perrry) Sorensen, Provo; Bryan (Susan) Allred, Fountain Green. His family was the joy of his life.

Euray was a prominent Woolgrower in central Utah. He took great pride in his Rambouillets. In 1995, he received the Lifetime Sheep Man Award. This award was given to those who have dedicated their entire life to the sheep industry. He was the second person to receive this award. In 1996, the Utah Centennial Year, Euray was honored&emdash;along with others&emdash;by the state of Utah as a Century Farm and Ranch Honoree. Euray was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a Ward Clerk and a faithful Home Teacher. He always had great concern and compassion for others. During his long life he never lost his fun smile and his teasing sense of humor. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Euray is survived by his wife Madelyn, his children, 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, sister, Geniel Loveless, Logan; Mildred Mower, Holladay; brother, Morris Allred, Fountain Green. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lucille Gadd, and three brothers, DeMar, John and Dale, and twin great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2002 in the Fountain Green LDS Chapel. Friends may call at the church Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Internment in the Fountain Green Cemetery. Director, Anderson Funeral Home. Nephi.
