Kathryn Smith

Kathryn Elsie Smith, age 85, passed away Mar. 11, 2001, in Phoenix, Arizona.

She was born June 6, 1915, in Mount Pleasant, Utah, to James Christian and Anna Christiana Bergetha Christensen Syndergaard. She married Paul LaMont Smith Dec. 11, 1939. He died June 16, 1985.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and served in many callings. She worked for Rays Cafe for 30 years.

She is survived by her four daughters, Claudia (Monte) Long of Woods Cross; Karen (John) Marshall, and Paula Tacy, all of Cave Creek, Arizona; Chris (Steve) Sharp of Washington City; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Mar. 14, 2001, at the Nephi LDS 5th Ward, 345 East 500 North. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. The burial will be in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
