Kate Church

Kate Heywood Church, age 94, of Panguitch, Utah, died March 4, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Nephi after a long illness.

Kate was born Aug. 26, 1905, in Panguitch to David Leland and Kate Delong Heywood. She married Rudolph Church, June 11, 1925, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 4, 1973. Kate operated the Blue Pine Hotel and Motel with her husband for thirty years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and received the "Woman of the Year Award.

She was active in her church and was a teacher, serving in many teaching and administrative positions. She was a wife to a bishop for nine years. She was a poet, a comic and mimic and she loved to entertain people.

She enjoyed exploring the hills and valleys of southern, picking bull berries and pinenuts, hunting for Indian arrowheads, playing bridge, quilting, knitting and crocheting, candy making and baking.

She is survived by her son, Val Dolph (Mary Lou) Church of Panguitch; two daughters, Winagene (Donald) Eyre of Nephi, and Dr. Kathleen Church of Phoenix, Arizona; 17 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, David (Margaret) Heywood of Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph; son, Clem in 1989; five sisters; three brothers; and one great-grandson.

Funeral services were held March 7, 2000, in the Panguitch 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Burial in the Panguitch Cemetery.


Shanna May Grzywinski

Shanna May Grzywinski, age 37, passed away Mar. 2, 2000, of a heart attack and a lifetime of kidney problems. She was born Mar, 21, 1962, in San Bernadino, California.

She is survived by her children, Brian, Jessica and Cameron of Nephi; fiancée, Richard Young of Nephi; mother, Helen Grzywinski of San Bernadino, California; George Grzywinski of St. Paul, Minnesota, Pamela Austin of Redland, Johnnie and Earline Goced of Delrose, Jeannette Grzywinski of Apple Valley, and Teri Sleeper of Rancho Cucamonga.

Funeral services were held Mar. 6, 2000, at Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.


Romaine Clayton Belliston

Romaine Clayton Belliston, age 81, died Feb. 20, 2000, in Salt Lake City.

She was born May 23, 1918, in Salt Lake City to Wynn C. and Emma Ward Clayton. She was adopted by Fred and Vera Eckles and was raised in Los Angeles, California. She married Charles Hall in 1952. They were later divorced. She married Henry Harmier in 1959. They were later divorced. She married Dee Belliston in 1978.

She is survived by her husband, Dee, of Riverdale; step-daughter, Deean (Mikel) Hicks of Layton; 2 sons, Larry Hall of Tokyo, Japan, and Greg (Irene) Hall of Santa Rosa, California; sister, Phyllis (Golden) Sill of Layton.

Funeral services were held at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, Ogden, Utah.
