Mada Woodland
Mada Alberta Woodland, age 88, passed away Feb. 2, 2002
in Nephi, Utah.
She was born April 18, 1814 in Fairview, Utah to
Parley Peter and Lyda Jenivee Brady Olson. She married Dan
H. Woodland April 12, 1940. Their marriage was later
solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He died June 18, 1969.
She worked at Utah Valley Hospital for many years. She
was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints and served in many callings.
She is survived by her children, Marguerite (Jaye)
Smith, Evelyn (Ken) Mills, Byron (Susan) Woodland;
step-daughter, Lee (Art) Forbush; 16 grand children and 14
great-grandchildren; sisters, Deon (Robert) Jones and Delsa
Zabriskie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband
and brother, Alden Olson, granddaughter, Danene.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb.
7, 2003 in the Nephi 3rd Ward, 345 East 500 North. Friends
may call Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will
be in Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
