LaPriel Jones Rigby
LaPriel Jones Rigby, age 87, passed away Feb. 14,
2000, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born Aug. 4, 1912,
in Nephi, Utah, to E. Lenard and Birdie Crosland Jones.
She married Ashael O. Rigby on May 15, 1936, in the Salt
Lake LDS Temple. He died May, 30, 1980.
She attended Juab High School. She was Relief
Society Homemaking Leader, and was in the Primary
presidency. She was a member of the East Millcreek Lady
Lions and the South Salt Lake Primettes. She and her
husband established the Salt Lake Donut Company and
Shopper's Chef Restaurant.
She is survived by children, Craig (Penny), Rod,
CoeLen (Bill) Williamson, and Marchel (Brad) Bourne; 9
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, M.
Douglas (Loa) Jones, Ronald (Barbara) Jones, Nadene
Blackett, and Dona Jones. She was preceded in death by
parents, husband, and brother, Harold Jones.
Funeral services were held Feb. 18, 2000, in the
Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel. Interment in Wasatch Lawn
Memorial Park.
