Card of thanks… Go to top

As parents of two members of the Juab High School Wrestling team we would like to express our gratitude towards a few people who have helped to make this season great. First of all, we want to thank the coaches for sharing their time and talents with the team helping them to further develop their skills. We would also like to thank the coaches families for lending their support and friendship to the team members. This year's matmaids have also provided a valued support for the team. We have also appreciated Joe Markland and the EMTs for their presence at the meets; they have provided the team and the parents with a sense of security. Their presence was especially appreciated in those times of emergency. Furthermore, we would like to thank Dr. Wright for showing his support by attending some of the wrestling meets. The cheerleaders have also done a great job of being there for the team. We would also like to thank all of the other parents that have been there throughout the season. We have developed a unique kinship as we have supported one another's children and have cheered them on to another region victory. Finally, we want to thank the wrestling team for providing us with an outstanding season, one that they should be proud of. They always put their heart and best effort into each match. During this season, while supporting each other, they have taught us sportsmanship and in so many different ways they have shown us unity. (The least of which is all dying their hair the same color This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Coach Waldron will be taking 24 wrestlers to UVSC, for the 2A state tournament. So, make some time this weekend and take the trek to UVSC to cheer on and support this great wrestling team. REMEMBER BACK IN BLACK. Robert and Beverly Painter.

We as Drill Team parents would like to take this opportunity to thank Morris Blackett, Lisa Blackett, advisor and the JHS Drill Team girls for the hard work and dedication in the recent Region and State Competitions. We were amazed at all of the JHS Fans that were there to cheer us on and show their support. We are proud of our school. We would like to thank all those who have helped in anyway to make 1999-2000 special for these girls. We also would like to recognize the area businesses and sponsors for their donations: Gary Jones Construction; Jim Wilkey Construction; Dr. and Mrs. Byron Woodland; Salt Creek Amoco, Jason and Khristy Hanks, owners; Two Jacks Pizza; Reeds Drive In; White Brothers; Mt. Nebo Thriftway; Norm’s Dollar Discount; Ben Franklin; Hogi Yogi; Kimo’s Kamera; Mr. and Mrs. Mark Stoddard; Frito-Lay; Dr. and Mrs. Grant Rasmussen; Cal’s Welding; Far West Bank; JHS Principal, Superintendent, Advisors, Teachers, Spirit Team, Cheerleaders, Wrestlers, Girls and Boys Basketball Teams, all students, friends and parents; the anonymous fan at Sizzler; Something Special by Ruth Cook and Melba Rasmussen; Kim Denison and all moms and dads who helped make this Drill Team year EXTRA SPECIAL.
