As of Monday, January 4, 2021, Central Utah Public Health Department reported that there were 91 active cases of COVID-19 in Juab County, with zero current hospitalizations. In total, Juab County has had 793 total cases since March 2020 with 693 of those cases recovered. There have been 9 deaths in Juab County related to COVID-19. Neighboring Sanpete County has been hit the hardest with 2,374 total cases since March 2020. Fortunately, 2,208 of those cases have recovered. They have had 12 deaths. Currently they have 154 active cases and 6 current hospitalizations. Sevier County has also been hit hard with 1,356 total cases since March 2020. They have had 1,258 recovered cases and 8 deaths. They currently have 90 active cases and 3 current hospitalizations Millard County comes in 3rd overall with 1,003 total cases since March 2020. They currently have 136 active cases with 4 current hospitalization. They have had 865 recovered cases and 2 deaths. Piute and Wayne Counties have been less affected, but have still seen cases. Piute has had 73 total cases since March 2020 while Wayne is not far behind with 70 total cases. Piute currently has 11 active cases, 2 current hospitalizations, 60 recovered cases and 2 deaths. Wayne has 5 active cases, 65 recovered cases, 1 current hospitalization, and 0 deaths. Juab School District, as of January 4, reported 11 active cases at JHS, 2 active cases at JJHS, 0 cases at MES, 3 active cases at NVE, and 8 active cases at RCE. School resumed on Tuesday, January 5. |
