Lavoy N. Boswell
1935-2007
Lavoy N. Boswell, age 72, passed away December 30, 2007 in Nephi, Utah. He was born March 3, 1935 in Nephi, Utah, to Laurance Anderson Boswell and Ellen Iona Nelson. He married Ann Marie Richins February 14, 1986 in Nephi, Utah.
Lavoy was a member of the LDS church and graduated from Juab High School. He served in the US Army. He retired from NRP in Nephi. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping. He loved playing with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was an inspiration to all of his loved ones.
Survived by his wife, Anna of Nephi; children, Ephraim (Andrea) Boswell of Orem; Justin Boswell of Broomfield, CO; Samantha Fisher of Nephi; LeighAnne (Marty) Davis of Orem; LaJean E. Boswell of Nephi; 7 grand children. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Merlin Boswell.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 in the Nephi 3rd Ward, 345 East 500 North. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
Grant Kendall
1934-2007
Grant H. Kendall passed away peacefully in Yuma, Arizona, on December 26, 2007 from a two-year battle with lung fungus. He was born July 7, 1934 to Verda and Arvilla Huggins Kendall.
He was known for his love of the great outdoors and horses, and sense of humor. He was the best horseshoer in the state of Utah.
He is survived by Teresa (Jim) Melvin, Illinois; Randy (Diane) Kendall, Kearns; Kay (Alex) Abilia, Magna; Jackie (Manuel) Gonzalez, Nephi; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his loving companion of ten years, LaVee Austin. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers Elwin and Lloyd, sister, Norma Bryan.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 2, 2008 in Salt Lake at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel. Rest in peace, you earned it.
