Clark Prisbrey
1934-2007
Clark Darwin Prisbrey passed away at the age of 72 on
January 4, 2007 after many years of health problems. Clark
was born on July 27, 1934 in Cedar City, Utah, to Clarence
LaDell Prisbrey and Mary Empey Prisbrey. They moved to St.
George, Utah, when Clark was 8 years old. He graduated from
Woodward High and the Dixie High School in 1952, where he
had many dear friends. He attended Dixie College for 1 1/2
years, then moved to Henderson, Nevada, to work. Clark met
LuOna Talbot in 1954 and they were married on June 17, 1955
in the Manti Temple. They moved to Nephi, Utah, in 1956 and
remained there until the present time.

capacities, including Sunday school president, scoutmaster,
teacher and home teacher. He was an active member of the
Juab County Search and Rescue for over 40 years, serving as
commander for 2 terms.

Shop for many years. He later worked at Kennecott in Eureka,
Utah, for five years. Finally, he was foreman at Brush
Wellman until he had to retire in 1995 due to health
problems.
Clark loved to take his sons hunting, fishing and
camping. For many years Clark had good times cutting
Christmas trees to sell. Clark loved restoring old vehicles;
among his proudest accomplishments was restoring his Power
Horse tractor that he loved to drive in parades, and getting
the old REO Speedwagon fire engine to run for Nephi
City.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 51
years; his five children, Alan (Shelly) of Monroe, UT, Doug
(Deb) of Fayette, UT, Gene (Amelia) of Orem, UT, Debrea
Zirbes, Nephi, and Dale of Mayfield, UT; 17 grandchildren, 7
great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who loved
him. Sisters, Zona (Theo) McAllister of Kanab, Juanita
Brinkerhoff of Glendal; brothers, LaDell (Fern) Prisbrey of
St. George, and Kent Prisbrey of Ivins. He was preceded in
death by his parents, parents-in-law, and his brother Loren
Prisbrey. He loved his family more than anything in the
world, and though he is now parted from many of them, he is
with those that have gone before.
Clark's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks
to Julie Chase and Gloria Wickel of Home Health for
all that they have done for them.
