REGION CHAMPS • Juab's Drill Team swept the Region 14 Drill Team Tompetion at UVSC. They will compete at the State tournament Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

The Juab High School Drill Team competed in the Region 14 Drill Team competition on Saturday, Jan. 22, at Utah Valley State College. They danced their best taking first place in all three categories: Dance, Military, and Prop.

Hillary Hitchcock placed first, out of over 70 dancers, in the Region Drill Down. Cierra Worwood, Julee Eyre, and Becky Stubbs were named to the All-Region Drill Team. This award is based on over-all drill team and academic participation.

Becky Stubbs, Assistant Drill-Mistress, says, "It was exciting to see our hard work pay off. We are looking forward to doing well at State."

State Drill Team Championships that will be held on Saturday January 29, in Orem at the McKay Events Center on the UVSC campus. The Competition begins at 9:00 a.m. and there is a $5 admission fee.

Cierra Worwood, Becky Stubbs and Morgan Gould were named as members of the Region 14 Academic Drill Team. To qualify for this honor senior drill team members must have a GPA of 3.5 or better.
