Rose Galbraith

Longtime resident of Nephi, Rozalia "Rose" (Nana) Galbraith, age 92, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 28, 2003. She was born Nov. 12, 1908 to Michael and Anna Treschilla in Frostburg, Pennsylvania.

Nana thoroughly enjoyed sports and supported all of the Juab High School games. She was an avid Jazz fan and especially loved their mascot, the Bear.

Rose is survived by children, Marjorie (George) Morgan, and James R. (Betty) Galbraith; three grandchildren, three granddaughters in-law; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, time pending, in the Nephi North Stake Center, 1125 North 400 East. Friends may call Friday prior to the services. Friends of the family may contact Anderson Funeral Home 623-0153 for additional details. Interment will be at Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.


David LaVar Winn

David LaVar Winn passed away Jan. 26, 2003 at Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi.

David was born Nov. 3, 1930 to Herbert Henry and Twila Belle Gould Winn.

He joined the US Marine Corps in 1952 and later received a medical discharge. David worked for NRP Inc. for twenty years.

He married Sheryl J. Walker. They were divorced. He later married Chloe Anderson. They were divorced.

David is survived by Louise Sperry of Nephi; two sons, David (Marla) Winn of Cole Creek, Colorado, and Daniel Winn of Canyon City, Colorado; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers Samuel and Steven; sisters Ramona Rosenlund, Betty Allen, and Ruth Wilde.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2003 at the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 200 West in Nephi. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, one hour before services. Interment at the Vine Bluff Cemetery.
