Byron Belliston
Byron Wilford Belliston "The Honey Man", age 79, passed
away Jan. 5, 2001.
He was born Aug. 28, 1921 in Nephi, Utah, to Wilford and
Winifred Dorothy Warr Belliston. He married Elizabeth Jane
Bevan Feb. 23, 1951, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Byron was a third generation beekeeper and farmer. He
served as a Sergeant in the Army during WWII in the
Philippines and Korea. He was an active member of the LDS
Church serving in many callings.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Debbie
(Mark) Bradshaw of West Valley City, Sara Roberts of Abilene
Texas, and Russell (Gaylynn) Belliston of Spanish Fork; 13
grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith
Beckstead and Donna Jenkins. He was preceded in death by a
sister, Dorothy Smith.
Funeral services were held Jan. 9, 2001, in the Nephi LDS
8th Ward. Burial in Vine Bluff Cemetery Nephi, Utah.
Colleen Thompson
Colleen Ellen Thompson, age 48, died Jan. 1, 2001, at her
home in Orem, Utah, from complications of diabetes.
She was born Jan. 27, 1952, in Murray, Utah, to Melvin
Leon and LaVenna M. Thomas Thompson.
Colleen was a homemaker and a member of the LDS
Church.
She is survived by he daughter, Mandy Thompson of Orem,
mother of Nephi; brothers and sisters, Rod (Kathy) Thompson,
Clint (Debbie) Thompson, all of Orem, Marvin (Jill)
Thompson, Carolyn (Don) Massey, and Linda (John) Sheets, all
of Nephi. She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services were held Jan. 6, 2001, in the Wing
Mortuary Chapel in Lehi. Interment in Lehi City Cemetery,
Lehi, Utah.
Vera Anderson
Vera Christensen Anderson, age 91, passed away on Jan. 5,
2001, in Nephi, Utah. She was born Apr. 20, 1909, in Moroni,
Utah, to Niels Christian and Dagmar Marie Mikkelsen
Christensen. She married Arthur Stewart Anderson Aug. 29,
1932. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS
Temple Mar. 10, 1980.
Vera had a talent to crochet and quilt and was an
excellent cook. She was an active member of the LDS
Church.
Vera is survived by a son, Jack Stewart (JoEll) Anderson
of Moroni; daughter, Phyllis (Ken) Ingram of Nephi; 8
grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ed
Christensen of Mt. Pleasant, Glen Christensen of Moroni,
Owen Christensen of Fountain Green; sister, Luella Cahoon of
Magna. She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters,
Ina Green, Hazel Christensen, Voneil Christensen; brothers,
Stanley, Allen, Grant Christensen; grandson, Randy Ingram;
great-grandchildren, Britany Jo Brotherson and Robert Jack
Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10,
2001, at 11:00 a.m. in the Moroni Stake Center. Friends and
family may call at the Stake Center Wednesday 9:45 to 10:45
a.m. prior to services. Burial in the Moroni City Cemetery,
under the direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home of Mt.
Pleasant.
