During Levan Town Council meeting held Wednesday, Jan. 5,
2000, Mayor Robinson gave his thanks to the council members
that were leaving. Bryce Christensen and Ralph Wilson were
thanked for the great job that they have done for the town.
"We appreciate the many years of service and we have enjoyed
working with both of you," stated Mayor Robinson. Ryan
Aagard and Rod Wankier will be taking their place as council
members.
Mike Mann said that he would give the council
members a list of nominees to replace him as fire chief in
April. He also reported that there has been 62 first
responders and fire calls for 1999.
A breakdown was given to council members, 10 first
responder calls in Levan, 12 first responder calls in the
county, 8 fire calls in Levan&emdash;4 were structure fires,
32 fire calls in the county&emdash;2 were structure
fires.
Mike Mann also stated that they are in need of fire
fighters. Anyone that is interested in becoming a Volunteer
Firefighter please contact him at 623-1959.
Council Member Craig Worwood asked Mayor Robinson
if Brian Huntsman has brought in the bond paper for his
subdivision road. Mayor Robinson has not seen it yet but
will contact him. Council member Worwood was concerned
because construction has begun and the bond should have been
done first.
New Council Member Rod Wankier is still concerned
because Mayor Robinson still has not sent in the papers for
the fuel cards. Wankier told Mayor Robinson that the Fire
Department really needed them.
Next Council Meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb.
16, 2000, at 7 p.m.
